The Tudor Black Press is proud to announce a new book 

PROMETHEVS

FIREGIVER

With six engravings by Beth S. Robertson.

The press has engaged the renowned Scottish wood engraver and artist Beth S. Robertson to design and carve six beautiful blocks that will be printed in the book. 

The typeface will be the elegant Pastonchi, named after Francesco Pastonchi, the Italian poet and author, some of the capital letters were derived from the stone of St Ambrogio.

The edition will be limited to 70 copies, 10 will be an Edition de Luxe of which 8 will be for sale, 12 special copies and  50 Standard copies​

The Edition de Luxe

Each of these copies will be printed by hand onto dampened J Green handmade laid paper. The binding is a full pale blue-green leather called 'Perse' from Alran leather in France and specially made marbled papers from Papier Prina of Brussels will be used as the end papers, each of these copies will be housed in a special box along with an extra set of engravings.

The Special Edition

Each copy will be printed on Italian dampened handmade paper from the Viceversa mill, with the Tudor Black Press watermark and half bound in vellum with marbled paper on the boards and housed in a Solander box.

Copies of the Special Edition are available at £375.00

The Standard Edition

50 copies will be printed on Zerkall mould made paper and will be quarter bound in leather with marbled paper on the boards and housed in a slipcase.

Copies of the Standard edition will be available at £250.00
